What is the scent strength like?

Our fragrances are designed to feel present, layered and comforting, never overwhelming. Each scent in the Aura Collection has its own personality, but all are created to gently fill your space without feeling too heavy or overpowering. Aura Fresh feels airy, clean and uplifting. Aura Bloom feels soft, floral and warm with a deeper richness. Aura Day feels elegant, bright and comforting. Aura Night feels deeper, cocooning and more intimate. We like to describe Casa da Luz scents as noticeable, not noisy, strong enough to transform the mood of a room, yet soft enough to live with every day. A few things affect scent experience too: room size, airflow and personal sensitivity to fragrance. Why do we use a rapeseed & coconut wax blend?

At Casa da Luz, every detail is intentional, including the wax we choose. Our candles are handcrafted using a premium rapeseed and coconut wax blend, selected for the creamy finish, beautiful scent throw, and slow, even burn we wanted Casa da Luz candles to be known for. This blend allows each fragrance in the Aura Collection to unfold softly and beautifully through your space, creating a scent experience that feels elevated, comforting, and never overpowering. It is also a more thoughtful choice: vegan friendly, free from paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax, and unnecessary synthetic additives. Made in Europe and chosen for its strong sustainability credentials, it reflects our belief that luxury should feel intentional, beautiful, and considered. Designed for a cleaner, slower burn, and created to be refillable so your ritual can continue again and again.

How long does the candle burn?

Our refill candles are designed to burn for approximately 45–55 hours, depending on burn habits and candle care. For the best experience, we recommend allowing the wax to melt close to the edges during each burn and trimming the wick before relighting. A slower burn means more moments to enjoy.

What if my candle tunnels or smokes?

Tunneling occurs when the first burn is too short. To fix, burn until the wax melts to the edges. Smoking indicates the wick needs trimming. Always trim to 1/4 inch before lighting.

Are your candles pet safe?

Our candles are made using high quality fragrance blends and ingredients that are not considered high risk in normal home use. That said, every pet is different. We always recommend burning candles in a ventilated space, avoiding placing them directly beside pets, and allowing them to leave the room if they seem sensitive to fragrance. A calm, comfortable home should feel good for everyone.
