Our Story

Casa da Luz, meaning “House of Light”, was founded in 2025.

The idea was born after moving into my first home with my long term partner and discovering how much the smallest rituals could shape the feeling of a space, creating little moments of warmth and comfort amidst the chaos of everyday life.

What began as a personal love for the feeling of home, beautiful scents, considered spaces and the rituals that make them our own gradually became the idea behind Casa da Luz.

Today, Casa da Luz is being built around refillable candles and thoughtfully designed homeware, inspired by a simple belief: the things we bring into our homes should add to how they feel, not simply how they look.

A home should be a place of comfort, connection and calm, with beautiful things made to become part of everyday life.

A 25-year-old Brazilian based in London, I hold a degree in Fashion Branding & Communication and am currently completing a Master's in Branding and Marketing Communications.

I am also the founder of RK Social, a creative boutique brand specialising in aesthetic and storytelling-driven content through content creation and social media management, I help brands build an intentional and memorable online presence.

Casa da Luz is where that passion meets my love for fragrance, beautiful details and the simple rituals that make a house feel like home.

Casa da Luz was created to celebrate the beauty found in the everyday, and the small pauses that make a house feel like a home.

Every candle is hand poured in small batches using a plant based blend of rapeseed and coconut wax, made in Europe without paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax or synthetic additives. Vegan friendly and carefully chosen for its performance, it creates the foundation for every Luz (refill).

Our premium fragrance oils are sourced from trusted UK suppliers, with many crafted in France by experienced perfumers. Each fragrance is carefully paired with our wax and individually wick and burn tested to achieve the performance we want from every candle.

Every Casa da Luz vessel is individually cast and finished by hand in London using Jesmonite, a water based, solvent free composite material with no VOCs, chosen for its strength and durability. Each one is designed to be refilled rather than replaced, allowing the vessel to remain part of your home while the candle inside changes with your scent, mood or season.
